Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?

My family and I make a variety of special dishes for the holidays. Some of our favorites include:

  • Roast turkey: This is a classic holiday dish that is always a crowd-pleaser. We like to brine our turkey overnight to help it stay moist and flavorful.
  • Ham: Another popular holiday option, ham is a great way to feed a large crowd. We like to glaze our ham with a combination of brown sugar, honey, and spices.
  • Stuffing: Stuffing is a must-have side dish for any holiday meal. We like to make ours with bread, celery, onion, and herbs.
  • Mashed potatoes: Mashed potatoes are another classic side dish that is perfect for the holidays. We like to make ours with butter, milk, and cream.
  • Green bean casserole: This is a creamy and delicious side dish that is always a hit with kids and adults alike. We like to make ours with green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and French’s fried onions.
  • Pumpkin pie: This is a classic holiday dessert that is perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We like to make ours with a homemade crust and a filling made with pumpkin puree, milk, eggs, and sugar.
  • Apple pie: This is another classic holiday dessert that is always a crowd-pleaser. We like to make ours with a homemade crust and a filling made with apples, cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg.

We also enjoy making a variety of other dishes for the holidays, such as roasted vegetables, cranberry sauce, and gravy. These dishes are always a hit with our family and friends.
