Who is the most famous or infamous person you have ever met?

πŸ’ŽThe only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” πŸ’Ž- Edmund Burke

, I can tell you that some of the most famous and infamous people in history include:

  • Albert Einstein: A theoretical physicist who developed the theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics (alongside quantum mechanics). His work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science.
  • Martin Luther King Jr.: An American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968. King advanced civil rights for people of color in the United States through nonviolence and civil disobedience, inspired by his Christian beliefs and the nonviolent activism of Mahatma Gandhi. He was the son of early civil rights activist and minister Martin Luther King Sr.
  • Nelson Mandela: A South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country’s first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. His government focused on dismantling the legacy of apartheid by tackling institutionalised racism and fostering racial reconciliation. Ideologically an African nationalist and socialist, he served as President of the African National Congress (ANC) party from 1991 to 1997.
  • Mother Teresa: A Catholic nun who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India in 1950. For over 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity’s expansion, first throughout India and then in other countries. Following her death in 1997, she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and given the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. Pope Francis canonised her on 4 September 2016, as Saint Teresa of Calcutta.

These are just a few examples of the many famous and infamous people who have shaped our world.
